With the enormous success of 5 Hertford Street, Robin Birley created a new concept of Private Member’s Wine Connoisseur Restaurant where members could hold a selection of their own wines to be enjoyed with Michelin star cuisine. Oswalds, located at 25 Albemarle Street which has a retained historic façade but totally new structure was chosen as the location for Oswalds. Blair Associates Architecture Ltd worked with Robin Birley and interior designers to convert the building at basement, ground and first floor level into the magnificent club which sets new standards in Mayfair. Developing design drawings and working with the Contractor as Contractor Administrator on very complex interior finishes such as cast glass walls within the restaurant, complexity of perfect temperature and humidity of the wine cellar in the basement and other fine details throughout the building.
